Director General of Immigration Hendarsam has commented on the Corruption Eradication Commission’s, KPK, sting operation, OTT, targeting the Head of the West Jakarta Immigration Office, Ronald Arman Abdullah, since Tuesday night, 2 June 2026.
In his statement, Hendarsam emphasized that his office is waiting for the official release from the KPK regarding the case details and the parties involved.
“In principle, we are waiting for the official release from the KPK. For the process that may currently be underway, we fully support what the KPK is doing and fully respect it,” he said.
He also stated that the Directorate General of Immigration is open if there are further developments in the case. “We are open if there are any possible developments in the future related to this matter,” Hendarsam added.
The KPK’s OTT at the West Jakarta Immigration Office is allegedly linked to extortion of Foreign Worker, TKA, permits. Several individuals have been detained and the case is still under investigation.
As of now, the KPK has not yet held a press conference to announce suspects, charges, or details of the money trail. According to procedure, the official release is usually delivered within 1x24 hours after the arrest.
The Directorate General of Immigration said it will cooperate and fully respect all legal processes carried out by the KPK.
