WAR CONTINUES, DIPLOMACY STILL WORKS: CAMBODIA DEPORTS 635 THAI NATIONALS VIA POIPET

POIPET Kamboja, NETTI npo. Com
Despite rising border tensions, the Cambodia-Thailand diplomatic channel remains alive. Proof: 635 Thai nationals were officially repatriated by Cambodian authorities on Wednesday (4/30/2026) at 14:30 through the Poipet International Gate.

Joint Operation, Not a Random Crackdown
The Poipet International Border Gate Police Office moved together with the Siem Reap Provincial Deportation Department and Banteay Meanchey Provincial Police. The target was clear: foreign nationals who entered and worked illegally.

The result: *635 Thai nationals deported, including 360 women*. They were found to have crossed the border without documents and worked without official permits in Cambodian territory.

Handover at the Gate, Not on the Battlefield
The repatriation was procedural. An official meeting took place between Poipet City officials and Thai authorities at the border gate. Cambodia handed over, Thailand received. Orderly, no incidents.

This confirms one thing: *immigration law still stands even when politics heat up*. No mob justice. No violence. Only enforcement of Cambodia’s Immigration Law.

Strong Signal for Bilateral Ties
Mass deportations usually trigger diplomatic friction. But the Poipet case shows the opposite. Both countries displayed tight coordination. Cambodia enforced the law, Thailand collected its citizens.

The message to the world: *sovereignty and humanity can run together*. War may rage at certain points, but the door for dialogue and legal cooperation stays open in Poipet.

This move is also a stark warning to foreigners trying to work illegally. Enter without permission = go home via deportation. Period.
